Anyone 'retro' fitted a Renault Sat Nav system?

  Renault ChaVio
Just wondering if it can be done or if the cost makes it a no brainer compared to the systems now available from Halfords/Comet/Argos/Ebay and the like?

It could be done but the looms are completly different so the cost and effort would make buying a car with it fitted look atractive.
You can buy as some people have done the bulge screen and fit another sat nav setp for under £1k I think.

to be honest mate you would be better off getting a tom tom 700 in my opinion. in all fairness you would probly have a better system dont hold me to that though because i aint no expert.

May as well just get one from Halfrauds then. I quite like that little Garmin3i – I reckon it would fit nicely up by the rear view mirror. Do you have to take the power for these things from the fag lighter or can the wires be connected somewhere else and hidden?

ye u can hard wire them into the car, just had a hidden cig lighter socket behind dash is prolly easiest way
