Anyone tried the latest CB0M RON98 Sept 09 cal file ?

No real formula, more a guess lol.

OE Kerb weight + me + full tank of fuel (roughly and no where near accurately 1litre = 1kg). 1200Kg was the figure I ended up at lol.

So do I need to revert back to the stock .rst instead of the group N? If I do, does the rev limit reduce back to the OE 6500rpm (ish what ever the OE limit is) or stay at the 7k+ figure?

cheers matey, should be able to work out weights now, so you go by the OE kerb weight rather than the listed gross weight... what does the gross weight mean ?

My reckoning on this .rst thing, is that originally a complete image was taken of the group n ecu chip(i think renault provided this chip) and packaged into an .rst file (.rst's contain .cal data as well). Now I reckon the 'software' portion of this .rst image is the same as the original A300 software, but only the cal portion of the group n .rst is different than the stock A300 .rst file.

i think it's just one of those historical things, and that only .cal files are required, unless you are upgrading the software, and as you know we are stuck on A300 :)

The kerb weight, AFAIK, is the actual weight of the car with all it's equipment and fluids in, possibly fuel too but I'm not 100% on that so just go with it being empty, and no occupants.

Gross weight, I think, is the same vehicle but with a car full of people and luggage.

few things to report with mine - I uploaded the 'regular' 98ron cal (because i only have firmware 160)...

mine still kangaroos at very low throttle :(

also, my idle now seems to be 1050rpm, when it was 950rpm before. this was the same after a 35mile trip. I even opened the bottom and made sure the throttlebody wasnt sticking. the 'return to idle' seems a lot slower too :S

power-wise... seems smoother, i guess.. hard to say really. economy seemed to increase a little :)
