Anyone with a unichip (valver)

  20VT Clio & 9-5 HOT

Iv had cams, headwork, balanced/lightned bottom end, manifold, but still running stardard ECU! Hve been for months with no problems at all!

My plan is to get it unichipped as its probably the best bet without going for silly priced management and should get me the most out of the mods!

Has anyone had any experiance? Just need to justify spending £500 out of my student loan on one hehe!

I know a guy who had one on his 2.0 19, and as it was almost standard he only gained a few HP, but the drive was much better, lots more lower down, smooth power!

Cheers for any advice!

Dont know of any1 but I would say go for it. Think there is another brand doing the same thing that has launch control also.

Think I did a search on google and it came up on a scoobynet discussion.

I paid £250 for a BB chip when I had my cambelt done and it made drivability much better. Produced 148 at the wheels with magnex inc decat and BMC CDA with their chip on their rollers. As I may go down teh head and cams route at a later date had wished now I got the ubichip as normal chips are up to £350 now.

Definately go for something that can be reprogrammed. You will be glad in the long run.

Only experience I have of a Unichip is the one my brother has on his VTS.

Think its one of the reasons how hes got 159bhp (accurate) out of it without any major engine work.

Exensive but well worth it.
