Anywhere/anyone in Leeds weld my steering column?

Ive got the usual mk1 problem of excessive play in the steering wheel, ive not checked but i strongly suspect its the usual column wear issue. The car had a new steering rack recently so i think it must defo be the column.

I dont want to fork out £150 + fitting for a new rack and ive read up that a quality weld of the affected joint is just as good.

Where in Leeds or Bradford can i get the work done? Does pmurray do that sort of work as he is walking distance from me?

Paul will most probably be able to sort it at his old mans place. He should be able to guide you to a good engineering shop if not.
