Apex'd fUbAr!

You sure Chris?

I've just changed to Apex as an experiment and I'm not convinced they make the car handle better at all!

You need the progressive spring to soak up all the s**t bumps that our roads dish up where as a track is as flat as a witches tit. The apex are still a budget spring though so horses for courses really.

But, I'm not saying the Eibach's are worse, they would be best on both road and track.

Hmmmmmmmm would be interesting to see the difference with Eibach's if I could get hold of a pair for brands as I wasn't impressed with the top mount rubbng I got at Oulton with the apex .. :)

IMO the eibach sportlines are the best all round....a nice drop over the standard height but work well with the standard dampers for everyday use.

That would be the top mount Maz NOT the spring unless they've not been fitted properly! Most sports have to have this altered at some point.

yeah sportlines are good but you're still bouncing up and down on that shite renault stick in! Best change the lot.

Had the top mounts done and the problem only seems to have came back since the springs have been fitted :S .. how can you fit a spring wrong though .. ?? I didn't think this was at all possible .. old one off .. new one on .. simple ?? :D

^^ Are they all the Eibach the same though ? ? e.g 172 set will fit a 182 with cup packs ?? :)

You should get some coilies maz, especially as you're getting into trackdays, be well worth it. will certainly bring your lap times down.

If you contact gary at rimstyle he will probably still be able to sort you out a set of konigsports. pm me for details mate.

Ive used them for fast road, and loved them handling wise.

Were quite hard so thought id get more tyre skip over rough surfaces, but didnt seem too bad.

Your suspensions cursed maz! lol ;)

Mine is on sportlines...i'll get some side on pics if you want??

sportlines are great and after havin apex on my old car I will always splash out for the better make now, ok they dont do much for the looks but feel sooo much better than apex imo. obviously if u want it better go with shocks aswell but as a simple upgrade eibachs are the better.

Prolines are quoted at -25mm/-30mm, sportlines are quoted at -35mm/-40mm. Prolines provide a better ride than the sportlines additionally.

My Konigs are wound to the bottom, and they're wound to the bottom.

all beit a 172 but this is mine on sportlines

so anyway... about my car... ;)

(for info... my apex dropped the car only another 15mm over the eibach pro's i took off)

Back on topic...

Here's mine on the same springs - couldnt give a f**k about what's better as H&R Coilovers would be my prefered choice if I did track days every other weekend but alas I don't.

So do the math:

Apex - 40mm - 15mm = 25mm

Therefor the Eibachs drop the car, as i said 25mm....tssss. Even measured the fker up!

ooooo cant wait to get my apex's. ur gonna be like my clone or i will to u. another dan with a phase 1 with ph2 rears and -40mm.
