Dont need 1k, £793 from k-tec for a set of H&R's or try motorsport tuning (uk distributors) 01375 362828 and see if you can get them cheaper from there. Although knowing you you still wont like them for some reason, probably should have left it how it was to start with

heh, no worries...

after a full day's driving now... im can say that im very pleased with the apex springs, the car feels very planted!

however, ive never had to dodge drains/potholes so much before! lol

i cant see my shocks lasting too long.....

Are you planning on trying them on track ?? would be interesting to get other peoples views who have

Fubar- are you just running lowering springss or have you uprated the shocks as well? Waiting to pick up my Mk1 RS and am tempted to get some lowering springs ordered until I decide to go for Coliovers. Bit worried doing springs only might ruin the dialled standard suspension. Would like to drop it about 40mm really.

apex springs are your answer.

they drop the car a true 40mm and shocks would probably last around 30k with the springs on i reckon

Personally if you want to get the most from any spring then you do need to upgrade your dampers, the OE ones don't like being compressed overly much.

Yeah I know I need a better set up if I am going to continue with track days but not sure how long I am going to have the car for so don't really want to put much more money into it until I know
