Aquired Meguiars - Clay

Car  Evo VI Tommi Makinen
Popped out to Halfords this afternoon and bought some Meguiars Quik CLAY.

Had a go on my bonnet, wings and front bumper..............

OMG how fookin good is this clay. I can't believe how smooth the finish is. Especially after a coat of Zymol wax.

Here is a couple of pics of the front end of the car. Gonna do the rest tomorrow...... It feels so silky smooth..

Thanks Guys, when i've finished claying the whole beats and waxing it tomorrow I will post some more pics.

My neighbours are getting worried that I am standing outside stroking my car to feel the smoothness. Feels sweet. Like Glass.

Why is my RS-1 the only one covered in stone chips on the front :(

looking great that, doing us Titanium 172 drivers proud!

Still want your exhaust though (Prospeed???) Only got a KTEC Stealth on at the mo which likes to bump and grind on the rear beam.

looking good mate. same combination of clay/wax I use on mine! it'll still feel as smooth as that a few days down the line...

fubar my RS-1 has stone chips on the front, you cant help that, can only notice them up close!

Looking good, clay is a well worthy step in the cleaning routine.

Fubar to make you feel better they would look even worse on any other colour, silver is very forgiving.

help me out here, my imagination aint too good and i struggle with close up pics but fubar, that definitely looks like you're front bumper from a side angle, yes? would i be right in thenking that it is attatched to the car?

if it is, is the photo playing mind games or does it actually really sit 3mm from the ground?

Well, I've spent all afternoon today claying the rest of the car and waxing it. Looks fantastic now, apart for the wax it got on the plastic strips. The paintwork feels silky smooth and reflects far more than before I did it.

Its definately a ball ache of a job, bit like polishing your fuel rail. Only gonna do it a couple of times a year. My arms and shoulders are aching now. Will post pics up later.
