Arch liner and What's this?

  Audi TT
Had my car in the body shop and they've had the front bumper off to spray and fit my cup splitter.

I don't think they've put it back on correctly and there was a part left over. Pic of the part included in post but if I put my hand under the splitter on the nearside there is a bit of what appears to be the arch liner sitting down a little. Now at speed when I go over bumps this is catching the wind and is making a scrubbing noise.

Can someone advise how the arch liner should all be held together and what the plastic bit left over is and where it should live, and is it important.

I know when I went to AngelWorks the other week the guy there pointed out I was missing the off side wheel arch liner so am on the lookout for one of them to fit if anyone has one cheap or knows a cheap place to get them.

Cheers,

G

behind your rs grille mate keeps shite off the alternator.
the arch liner is held in by a big blsck plug type clip under your bumper.
and the liners come in two parts so you may be missing a front part bout 12 quid from ren.
panel beater/estimator.

I got my car back from Renault 2 weeks ago and as soon as I drove to 50mph that bit of plastic came loose and scraped under my tyre. I took it back to Renaut who "fixed" it..........I then went on a motorway and the same thing happened at 70mph.

There was no problems with this part when my car went in to the garage but the incompetence of the employees has caused this damage. My car is booekd in for next week to have this repaired and if it isn't replaced I'll be straight on the phone to customer services!

Is it a bumper off job to refit that part?

What's the procedure for the bumper off? I watched them do it at Angel Works but I'm rubbish at remembering stuff.

Got your new Aussiebums yet Gally?

No Jock land for me mate. Furthest North I've ventured was Dumfries about 10 years ago.

Glad you like your shorts. Love mine :)

What's the steps for bumper off anyone?

wish there was an easy way to describe give me 2 minutes a will
try and knock up an escribe off the computer.

behind your grille on the far most left side
if you look behind it, youll see two little prong type things wit holes in the middle
that goes down behind the grille and pushes onto it and the sticky up bits on the top of that go into the holes on the grille, if that makes sence
takes about a minute tops
can be quite tricky depending on how big your hands are
let me know how you get on.
