Arches

Car  Clio MK 4
I got 17" wheels with the standard 172 suspension but when i have 2 people in back it rubs loads. What is involved with arch work on a 172? Is it just sanding the lip?

Is it really bad for the car when it rubs?

its either rubbin on the inner guards or its rubbin on the outer lip of the arch. normally pullin the arch out would fix this however if its the inner guards ull have 2 put spacers on and then pull the arch out slightly untill it clears the wheel. its not necessarily bad for the car itself but put it this way on a long journey the arch rubbin on the tyre wall is not goin 2 make a happy ending

Cool. I'm going to go to my body garage and ask them as they did arch work on my last car. They charged 25 quid per arch. doe sthis sound about right?

well i wouldnt know because i get my dad 2 do all the bodymods on my car hes preti good at it but that doesnt sound too bad for a price
