Are ph1 and ph2 exhaust the same

I've been offerd a magnet cat back system for my ph2 172 cup but its of a ph1 any one no if it will fit straight on my ph2?

yes if it has the twin barrell cat with 2 lambda . Not sure on single lambda though

The ph2 and very late ph1 models have two lambda sensors either side of the cat and early ph1s only have a precat lambda sensor. Apart from that they are fine.

If the new exhaust going on includes a decat then I'm presuming it won't matter if it's going onto a single or twin cat car?

Ph1 cats are two inches shorter than Ph2 and Ph1 with 2 lambdas

Cat back systems means after the cat, so it's all dependant on cat length.
