are ps3's region based??

i.e if i was to get a uk ps3 and buy a jap game.... is it going to work or not??

cos i have just seen a game which i dont think is out in the uk... but i think is in japan and possibly america?? that would make me buy a ps3 lol...

Yeah pretty much all region free, just ordered a Unreal Tournment 3 from the US as its not out here till March!
