Are these brakes any good?

I wouldn't bother IMO. Thats expensive

Stick with stock or go for Green stuff or if you realy want ds2500 depends where you use the car.

The thing that improved my brake pedal feel and reduced stopping distances was fitting goodridge braided hoses, i was very sceptical about them before fitting.

My brother has the brembo HC's and greenstuff on his 182, as he does not do a lot of miles his pads are taking an age to bed in properly and i think he is going to try yellow's instead.

Yellows are good but you have to nearly ge them on fire before they bed in.

I'd avoid drilled and grooved disks.

Thinking of trying some braided hoses next myself.

Ive got those discs with ds2500 pads. EBC are crap end of! had them all on loads of cars. no good imo! the ds2500 pads are miles better. the discs are good cos the grooves clean the pad up and stop the face of the pad glazing over when used heavily.

Don't the DS2500's create more dust?, i think that's why some people go for the EBC, also i thought i read on here that the max discs wear the pads out quicker due to the grooves.

absolute rubbish. any pad will produce a certain amount of dust. my ds2500 produce at least 50% less than standard ones do. and yes the grooved discs will wear the pads down quicker but i bet you would never notice the difference. its goin to be so minimal!!! the pads should last ages due to the fact that the car is so light anyway. the grooves help to clean up the pads if you happen to over heat them and glaze them over. up to you dude. all i can say is ive taken them to the nurburgring twice now and they have never faded. that says something for them.

Looking at these and Brembo Max, can anyone recomend any good pads?

You still got the 182 then??

I found an old quick pic of it and mine down Weymouth when it was probably under 6 months old.

Yeah, I had a couple of weeks away got back, drove it and decided to keep it, Just had the engine mount done, when I picked it up it didnt have the stripes over the back bumper, got rid of them pretty quickly though as they were bubbling quite alot! Got some Brembo Max in the end, still undecided on Pads.
