just found these on ebay woundering if they are any good

Never heard of the make before, build quality wise they must be good to get a lifetime warrenty, as for the quality of the light produced, i would guess as they are so cheap, its pretty crap

anybody else got any ideas whats that 6000k mean , they seem ok i may get 1 set and have a look what they are like

Could be 60000 candela. Luminous intensity.

for £6.50 they might be worth a try.......if you look at his Ebay feedback its very good

60000k is the temperature they heat up to!!

Apparently the the norm is 38000k-40000k if you read further down the ad all will be explaned

the k after the number stands for kelvin which is a tempreature scale

0 degrees c = 273 degrees k

Dont think the Kelvin refers to actual temperature, but more to the colour of the light produced.

6000K is 5600 odd Degrees C - the glass would melt!

Just read the add - sound like a right load of crap!

They say they are

High quality xenon charged HID lamp, (2 times brighter) with no extra current draw

They are defo NOT HID (high intensity discharge lamps) They are just normal lamps with a blue coating on them!! HID dont have a coating, the excited gas produces the colour, not a painted on filter.

i think that they ave replaced halogen gas in the lamps with xenon gas

i dont think thats possible mate.........Xenon gas needs a huge amount of voltage through it for it to light up.............IIRC???

no the gas allows the element to glow hotter cos the xenon gas has better cooling properties
