As xmas is coming..

I need a Tripod but dont really know what im looking at. Camera to go on top is a Nikon D60+ kit lense but will have slightly larger lenses in the future.


Want something sturdy but also not too costly.

Any recommnedations that i can tell the rents?

At that price I'd look at the Velbon Sherpa 250R, mine cost me 55 from a local store, I want to replace it but does me well at that price point so keeping it.

Can happily hold my 40D with 70-200 F4 and flashgun.

I got mine in Currys for £40 it's pretty sturdy too

tesco mate, i picked on up for my dad and its great, it supports a large DSLR with battery grip and long lens and doesnt become wobbley. it also comes in a carry case, extends to about 5ft 8 and the best part is its cheap but pretty well made, jessops do the same tripod for about £65 but at tesco its only £12.97.

I've got a velbon CX 480, iirc that was around the £50 mark.
