Don’t get excited, lol. iPotato.

But it’s good enough to get buildings that look at least vaguely similar.

😂🤣😂🤣 Hey, if it works...

Could be the start of McGherkin's Track Builder. You can then travel around the world with your iPotato gathering LIDAR data and sell it as DLC add-on content (alongside the main McGherkin Track Builder app). I'll develop the app for a 51% stake.

lol looks good enough from that angle. The engine is just designed to render everything in roblox mode that isn't in view of the driver. Can't be easy making good looking tracks without killing performance

Are you editing in the background motion blur?

Now getting solid 60fps in 4k with literally everything pinned, if I turn off ExtraFX then I'm up to 4k120... Which will probably be awesome when I have a cable that can manage it.

This one's still processing so it's not in HDR yet.

I'm using camtool for motion shots from the right hand panel

I need in on this! The TME in PC2 is laughably oversteery.

The physics on this one is from god knows what. It's originally a Mines one someone made. It handles like it's on rails though lol. It's meant to be around 480bhp now. Ignore the FOV, it's just how the Oculus software displays and can't change it in AC

Some of the mod car physics are ridiculously bad, for example all the 2017 WRC cars are H-pattern... because evidently it’s too hard to go into drivetrain.ini and change SUPPORTS_SHIFTER=1 to 0!

Realistically is this worth getting to play on PC with a controller? Blasphemy I know.

I can't get a wheel setup in the office for a bit, but I really like the look of playing around with it.

I mean, I dick around with it in work on a laptop keyboard, but not with any hope of actually being able to control a car with it. It’s still pretty enjoyable IMO. But I guess you at least have a chance with a controller.

tbh once you’ve played around with it for a bit you WILL end up buying a wheel anyway.

Okay sound. Where to start with it all? I assume this is all on the original game that's just modded? Not the second one

Yup. Get the original Assetto Corsa Deluxe edition with all the DLC.

Then....
https://assettocorsa.club/content-manager.html
Content Manager, way better than the stock launcher and will allow infinite number of cars (stock launcher breaks if too many cars)

https://www.patreon.com/x4fab/posts
Ilja Jusopov’s Patreon - guy is a bloody genius, transforms Assetto with Custom Shaders Patch. Don’t have to pay for it (Content Manager comes with the free version) but the latest cool s**t like rain etc are Patreon only for the moment

https://discord.gg/fM8zVzP
Sol - advanced weather system for Assetto, if you’re using the Custom Shaders Patch betas then you’ll probably want to use the betas on this discord, otherwise the public stable version of Sol is on Racedepartment.

Playing AC with a pad is pretty crap, imo. The main appeal to me, is that as far as I'm aware, it's the only production-spec racing game that features the Mazda 787B. I bought it for that car alone.

AC is amazing for the huge amounts of plug-in and add-ons. However for a better racing experience, ACC is pretty hard to beat. Get a half-decent wheel & pedal combo and you won't look back.
