Took a birthday trip with some special friends last weekend. The poor old girl has hit nearly 90 laps now after a long break away...need to go back out and crack 100.

I've been running the Yoko AD08's too, very good tyre for the money without going full bore 888. Highly recommend them, if you can get hold of them!

This was a 'budget trip' over 3 days. You can spend a fortune or not that much at all, but lap prices have shot up since i went last.

Ferry - £29 each way
B&B - 79 euros per night sharing between 2
24 euros per lap
I did roughly 2.5/3 tanks of fuel
The normal spending for food and drink.

I don't want to figure it out as I'm avoiding my bank balance.

Some friendly advice, DO NOT GO TO THE NURBURGRING PARK, IT'S CRAP!! Everything you want to purchase is charged to a ring card, so you end up loosing out...it's a mess. SAVE THE RING!

When you stay over, do you stay at a b&b close to the ring?

I've stayed in various places over the years, this time we were at Martin's place the Burgstube at the foot of the castle (http://www.burgstube.com/).

In terms of weather you never know. We've seen snow in april/may and gail force winds in september, but it can be about 100 degrees aswell. Last weekend was humind with the odd shower. The best time to go is mid week, evening sessions are ideal with the odd local.
