ATF for power steering fluid?

Gotta change the PS pump on the 172 Monday, I have gallons of ATF at work but would have to buy specific power steering fluid. Always used ATF in steering systems in the past so will this be okay for the clio as well?

Or does it require a certain type?

I'm no expert but when I went into gsf a few months ago asking the same thing they said normal ATF will do fine ( about £3 a litre for carlube so pretty basic stuff).
Think I bought 3 litres but it only needed just under two for a flush, for a pump change will be more then that obviously.

Two trackdays later and 1k miles done everything still seems good
