Hiya, upgraded my head unit to a Pioneer with a max output of 50Wx4 and that's powering my front door speakers which are "200 Watts Maximum Output and 35 Watts Nominal Output", don't understand this so this why I'm asking. Wanting to whack a sub in the boot and then 2 more 6x9s on the parcel shelf. What kind of amplifier would I need to do this, or if I bought a sub with an amp built in would I be able to use that? Any help is appreciated guys.

Don't bother with 6x9's, they're useless.

Buy an active subwoofer with a built in amplifier. Turn on the hi-pass filter on your stereo so no bass goes to your door speakers, this will make them distort/rattle less.

Personally, I wouldn't go any bigger than 10". 12" are only good if you want loud deep bass in mcdonalds car park

10" sub woofers produce better sound quality.

I have the older version of this which is good enough for me. Depends what your budget is really and what you're aiming to achieve

And I wouldn't bother putting anything in the factory parcel shelf. Mine had 6x9's in it when I bought the car and it had literally collapsed under the weight.

Yeah if I do I'd cut a piece of wood to fit it and then I can always stick the original back in when it comes to sale time.

Seriously, 6x9's are s**t.

Especially if you have a sub in the boot as this effects the cones of the 6x9's due to the airflow

I'll try a sub first and see if I'm happy with the sound. So are you just using the front door speakers and sub?

Okay!

Front door speakers + tweeters, rear quarter speakers and a 10"

I have sound deadening in the doors and rear quarters too!

Back in this again and needing help. Bought myself a sub and amp, so they're separate but they were a cheap do off eBay. But, I have no idea how to get the wires running to the back of the head unit, do I have to remove the centre console of the dash or can I just run it from one of the footwells into it? Anyone have any answers for a MK2 Clio Dynamique?
