Auto finesse avalanche review

I got a chance to use this last weekend when the weather decided to be nice. @Auto Finesse

Excuse the gay filter, I knocked it on without realising.

Anyway, dirty car

I wasn't expecting miracles as the car was filthy, I was barely expecting it to touch the muck to be honest as it hadn't been bathed in a good while.

I used about half the sample bottle and topped up with warm water. I found this to give a very weak foam which didn't want to cling to the car.

I added another quarter or so to see if that helped. This made it a bit thicker. I'm putting the lack of thickness down to my pressure washer not having enough pressure.

Anyway, it stayed on long enough for me to start work.

I was very impressed at how much it softened the crap here, allowing it to be agitated safely.

It all dripped off before I finished the shuts though

Overall I was happy with its performance. It left the stubborn dirt and tar spots (I ended up decontaminating the whole car) but that was expected.

A quick review turned into a mini winter decontamination and protection.

Some afters

I'll have to buy some more to test it in between washes on a freshly decontaminated and protected car.

Cheers

It is a nice clio!

I've still got to do this, going to be doing it on my brothers imprezza, it's not been washed in 3 or 4 weeks due to work. It's covered a fair few miles too so avalanche will be put to the test!

When's the closing date for this? I'm busy this weekend so won't manage it.

3/4 weeks will be a doddle. Mine was 3/4 months between washes lol.

I'm not sure, I'll see if I can find the letter when I get home. 18th I think it is.

I love Avalanche. When used in the right dilution it really comes out very thick.

I'll have to have a fiddle when I buy more. I expect I'll be using more than usual though due to my pressure washer.

That's a lot of product to use just to get it to foam thickly - how much was in the snowfoam bottle?

Also, ever used Autobrite Magifoam? If so, how does it compare to that? I found that foams up properly very very easily (with little used)

3/4 of the sample I believe.

I know it was a lot but as I said, I think it's down to the pressure washer not being pressureful enough.

This is the first foam I've used with this pressure washer so I don't have anything to compare it to as of yet.

I've used valet pro ph neutral through an industrial pressure washer and that came out like mousse. It was awesome.

My mate has recently got that and said it's brilliant stuff. He really rated it so I said we could try both and compare them. Be good to see the results

Avalanche is definitely not the thickest SF on the market, however that's no bad thing.. It's extremely fast working due to being citrus infused and clings for long enough to remove the majority of road grime which is really exactly what you need.

Valet-Pro PH Neutral, AF Avalanche and Chemical Guys NoTouch are my personal favourites, although, I have just ordered the new G-Techniq Snow Foam so looking forward to trying that.
