Auto volume on standard headunit

Yup, you can disable it or change the strength through the service menu.

is the servive menu on the cd player its self cos this is a rite pain in the arse,

I cant seem to find it

all I get is bass, treble, balance and fade

Hold down the Source button to access the Expert Menu. It's in there along with some other stuff like AUX.

there should be an expert button, from memory it's the left hand button of the circular bit, hold it down and scroll through the menu there.

Whats it under? Does it just say auto volume?

Press it and find out... I don't have a 182 any more.

It allows you to adjust the sensitivity too.
