i have a chip in my windscreen i want done by these guys.

i know i can get it done free because im comprehensive...

although will elephant take note come renewal time? and if so how much extra do you think theyd try and make me pay?

im trying to figure out if i should pay for it myself or not basically.

It wont affect your no claims, it shouldnt increase your premium, some insurers do some dont.

theres loads of the chip repair places about ....normally at shopping centres / supermarkets that also do it for free

yeh tesco local to me have been doing it this week.

Wish i'd have found somewhere free, ended up going to RAC Windscreens. They said it had to be replaced (well they would it more money for them than a repair).

I'm with elephant and i only had to pay the £70 excess, but i know next year their gonna load my premium, plus i'm not sure but i think you have to declare it as a claim when you go looking for a new insurer next year.

Lets face it, one way or another they'll make you pay for it.

elephant have issues with some of the free services u find in car parks now.
best just to go through elephant and get them to sort it out for you.
