Autoglym Lifeshine upholstery protector

I have acquired a bottle of Autoglym Lifeshine upholstery protector unopened from one of my mates.

Is it any good ?

Has anyone tried it ?

And it says all you do is hoover/vacuum the seats to get rid of dirt etc and spray it on till it drys and thats it.

And It'll leave a water repellant layer on the material.

Anyone any other tips before i use it ?

And is it safe for suede/alcantara in my 172.

It basically creates a Teflon-like surface over whatever you spray it on, I wouldn't believe their "lifetime" guarantee, UV rays and time wear it down.

Also, have heard you shouldn't use it on leather as it blocks the pores and can cause it to dry out. But, as the Clio seats have about as much meat in them as a McDonalds hamburger it probably wouldn't matter too much. I would only use it on the carpets and mats myself though.
