Autosmart Smart Wheels

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Is it just me that really doesn't get on with it? I've used it for the past few months but I don't find it very effective at all. What else could I try? I want something powerful as I hate cleaning alloys! Already tried Bilberry which is terrible! Cheers guys.

Once clean have you ever protected the wheels? If not perhaps have a look into it as that will make life easier if you hate doing them. Also surprised you think Bilberry is "terrible" to what ratios were you using it

I love Bilberry. Cant use it anymore as wheels are Cquartz'd.

As above, i recommend sealing the wheels once clean, will be a doddle with just shampoo then

I thought smart wheels was pants. It serves no useful purpose what so ever.

If your wheels are protected then shampoo will do fine.

Something more agressive - Sonax Full Effect, Iron Cut, Espuma Revolution.

I defo need to protect now I've got some better pads. Not as much brake dust! Really don't rate Smart Wheels. Even with a EZ Detailing brush it's still crap!

Something's going wrong here. Bilberry and ASSmart Wheels are good products.

When you say they don't work...? Elaborate?

I was wondering that too. Do you spray of and only rinse with a hose or something? What washing method do you use? I have a lot of love for Bilberry

smart wheels is a very good wheel cleaner, make sure your dilution ratios are correct i think 5-1 is what is the norm or 3-1 for very badly baked on brake dust, sprayed on a wet wheel left for a minute then aggiated with a good brush (vikan or ez) then washed off. hey presto! once fully cleaned its best to seal the wheels as mentioned above. but smart wheels is a very good product so something is going wrong

My front wheels had cheap pads and they we're really dusty. I spray on liberally, use EZ detail brush and they never come fully clean. I need something more powerful, can anyone reccomend anything else?

ust checked 3-1 for smartwheels on norm so maybe try neat and see how that goes? where did you buy the smartwheels? from a rep or ebay? rumours have it some ebay sellers water down the product so your not getting it as full strength? try a fallout remover after the wheel cleaner it may be fallout thats attachted to your wheels and not brakedust!?

Fully clean? As in had dark spots on the corners? Sounds more like ingrained brake dust.

Try spraying some IronX on your wheels. If it turns purple and the areas left by AS SW are cleaned, it was iron deposits. Something AS SW is not designed to tackle.

Bilberry is great, although there's better value products out there. As long as its left to dwell correctly then agitated Billbery very rarely fails to work properly.

It was from my local rep. Gonna try it neat I think. I've got that got wheels too and that doesn't get them clean!

Maybe try Ali shine from your AS rep its a acid based wheel cleaner? Have your tried a fallout remover yet?
