Back end popping out

wondering if anyone could help, the back end of my cup pops out every now and again for no reason, usually when i go over speed bumps, gravel, dips in the road, manholes etc, and happened a bit on the motorway. why does it do this, i aint driving fast when it happens? its annoying me.

my escort xr3 and my rover coupe used to do that, driving at about 30, go over a slightly dipped/raised manhole cover and it used to skip sideways about 3-4 inches... never found out why.

seems a bit dangerous though, my thoughts are sticking rear brake pads(cos i know that pants anyway) or something to do with the bearings? they arent whirring or anything. maybe rear dampers? but would like any more info if anyones got them?

Sorry mate its your shocks,dont cost alot,you need to find whether its the front or back shocks that have gone,had mine done last month just back £60 it cost.

well it feels like the back slides, so i guess its that, ill get it looked at soon and prob do that both, is that £60 for just the backs or front and backs?

Mine was just the two back ones that had gone,as they got worse the handling got from worse to just bloody dangerous

yeh ive noticed the ride quality was pretty rough this week actaully, i always thinks its just me being a wimp but i guess im right this time.

I ended up taking mine to a garage when I nearly lost it at 70 on a motorway going round a corner eeks
