Found myself another 182. Black one this time (hopefully it's flame retardant)
The exterior and interior condition are close to concourse imo. 69k on the clock so still pretty low mileage. A few extras on this one.

KTR black induction kit

KTR resonated centre line exhaust

KTR solid suspension top mounts

KTR braided brake lines

KTR front bottom splitter

Eibach pro lowering springs

Power flex solid rear exhaust mount bushes

Brembo high carbon front brake discs

Ferodo DS performance front brake pads

Ferodo DS rear brake pads and discs

PFC race brake fluid
Paid 6k and collect it Friday. I'll get some pics up then.
Just so yous know. If anything happens to this one I'm going all fecking John J and turning vigilante. So when I'm locked up for killing some chavy scrote I'll expect you guys to petition to get me out like that old bloke who shot that thieving pikey. 😉

Had a good look at that one when i was on the hunt myself - the owner of that was meticulous, that’s 100% a great buy. Well done mate.

That looks tidy! 6k for a 182 though [emoji50] have prices really crept up that much?
I'm afraid so pal. Just look how much insurance paid out on my last one. There are plenty of 182s out there for sale at the moment. Lots for around the 4-5k mark but most if not all are 100k mileage plus, and have either been converted to track or are spoilt with stupid mods. Those that are under 100k are few and far between. With a lot of dreamers out there wanting silly money. I saw a 58k 182 last week and while it was nice they were looking for 8.5k for it.

The market is nuts. I bought my RB last year for £5,400. Began restoring it and during the build a genuine buyer following the progress offered me £7,500. It’s not for sale though. 2 months on the buyer still hadn’t found one he liked so increased his offer to £9,000. I was so tempted but I didn’t buy it to sell it. My BG is 3/4 restored with 136,000 now and I’d get £3,500-£4,000 all day long. Lots of ruined ones about as well as shiny ones with rot underneath. Good examples are fetching proper money.

I think as with most cars, its the tin-worm that starts to increase their rarity as they get older. I'm still looking at quotes to get both rear arches on mine done - properly cut out and not simply sanded down and filled.

Proportionally, the cost is silly compared to the value of the car overall. But if you're willing to spend on them, anything is fixable and repairable. The other way to look at it is the amount of decent work that could be carried out compared to a year's worth of leasing. People will happily pay £250 per month finance on a 2022 runabout s**t-box and not even bat an eyelid. Yet conversely, they will have a meltdown in thinking of putting that money aside and doing worthwhile remedial work on a 1*2.

I know for one which car I rather be in.

Picked it up yesterday. It's a little cracker this one. I'm more than happy. It's a real credit to the previous owner. Meticulous service history and got a stack of receipts and invoices for previous work done, all at rs specialists.
