Back in the hot seat!

So after selling my 172 to scratch my rwd itch, I missed it BIG TIME. Guess it's true what they say you don't know what you have until you lose it!

So about a week and a half ago this happened!

It's great to be back in a Clio and I actually love driving again.

This post will be kind of long as I have done a few things over the past week.

1st up was a rear wiper delete....
(Queue the questions why?)

Next up was a deep clean. Due to time constraints it will take a few days, I started on the back today.

No major mods on the cards at the minute, I've a spare set of rims I'm picking up this week and thinking of doing the white for a summer set. That said I'm tempted to go a bit mad with an orange colour (I know this isn't to everyone's taste).

What exhaust is on it? The tailpipes look like they stick out far enough for a pedestrian to trip over crossing the road :tongueclosed:

It's a standard backbox. Cat back stainless system will be along soon. Just have to iron out the finer details with the missus! [emoji23]

So neither time nor budget has been on my side to progress much lately but it's a marathon not a sprint.

Plans are (as I get time)

Get seat belts cleaned up
Paint upper grill satin black
Refurb headlights
Continue with the deep clean

Some other plans that are a bit away until the budget improves like stainless system etc.

For now I've just been enjoying it! Got a good wash followed by the essential B road blast. Couldn't miss the opportunity for some pics!

After some time of just driving and enjoying the car it came time to drop some money on it!

The exhaust was blowing out at the centre section and the heat shield was rattling at the back.

After some deliberation and negotiation with the wife it was booked it for a stainless system cat back.

Got the car back yesterday with a straight pipe from the cat to 2 small rear silencers.

It's loud and maybe too loud. I will let it sit like this for now and maybe after MOT when it's getting the decat I will get a centre box added. Thanks to Streetracer in Bangor for the work. The cheapest I was quoted and really easy to deal with.

So time is really at a premium just now and I have little of it to spend on the car. I have a list of small niggly things a mile long that I just can't get near.

On Friday though I had a spare hour and decided to rip out the acoustic valve. It was pretty useless in there anyway as the car has an induction kit fitted.

1hour later the valve was out and the car washed and dried. Came home and ordered a bend to mod my induction into a fatty induction [emoji846]
