Backbox fitting problems

  Astra van,Mk1 nova
fitting a backbox isnt really a problem its a easy job well when you have one that fits:rolleyes:

ran into problems! Took off the standerd backbox and went to fit the magnex one, It has 2 hangers and i only have one hanger mount! and the other problem is the pipe that connects the backbox to the centre section is bigger and the sleve now does not fit?

So text the fellow cs member that i bought it of and he said it just came straight of his ph1!

my thoughts are that its part of a magnex cat back system, Are the ph1 centre sections thincker? where do i source a centre section? and why does it have 2 hangers?

Any help would be much appreciated:)

the magnex should come with a plate, that bolts up under the exhaust mount and goes across and attaches to the other hanger
the pissing things so heavy it needs the extra mount the exhaust cant hold it

and you cant buy center sections on there own, custom job to fit that mate unless you can find someone with either the center section or the sleeve that comes with it when you buy the backbox

Yeah i thoughts as much, its a coonting heavy thing, might give powerflow a ring and get a centre section made up,

so i will need to join the hangers and have it into one mount?

its hard to explain, imagine a flat plate bolted up under the original exhaust mount (you know the 3 13mm's)
this then gives you something to weld the bent peice of roundbar too, that sits over the second hanger. then an exhuast rubber joins the two

problem solved, went to my local powerflow today and its an awesome fit, sits rite underneath the bumper, sounds great with the decat:cool:

Ph1s have longer centre sections (as they have a shorter cat). The difference is about a inch and a half.

Does it bang the rear axle??

The proper magnex center section has an adjustable sleeve at the front of it so you can adjust it to fit either a Ph1 or Ph2, trouble is it needs an inch extra cut off it to get it in far enough to fit a Ph2 properly or it'll hit the axle.
