Bad earth?

For the past week, very randomly whether im listening to the radio or a cd, my sub has 'popped'. Not really sure how else to explain it. But the 'pop' is consistantly at the same volume, regardless of how much the volume is turned up or how much the subwoofer control is turned up on my head unit. I think its even done it when the volume has been on 0. The random 'pops' arnt (or dont seem to be) affecting the sub/bass in any other way.

Im going to have a look at it later, and see if theres anything obviously wrong. Im thinking its a bad earth(????) Could anyone shed some light on this for me?? :S

sounds like a loose connection somewhere

more than likely one of the power connections

switch the system on an wiggle all the wires will more than show the problem

a mate had a simaler problem with his... even tho his volume wus on 0 if he had the car turned on it wud pick up the noise of the engine idling still not fixed it yet either
