Bad Exhaust Pop?

Since fitting a decat to my catback blueflame system, it pops quite alot when revving the engine. Is this bad? lol

The 5k kick has completely gone now as well :( so i cant really see many benefits in having the decat at all?

Am i just being thick? lol

What IK have you got? I've recently changed my IK from a K+n to an ITG in a Ph1 Airbox and a decent CAF and my Kick has come back again,
Popping is quite normal as you've pretty much removed anything that helps with back Pressure (I think but I'm no expert)

LOL yeh it sounds good (and stinks of petrol LOL) but i dunno, i think car feels slower unless its just me!?

IK is completely standard at the moment too.

Its being rolling roaded on Saturday so i guess that will tell me but i cant help but think its SLOWWWWWWWW! lol

i think i read once about when the 5k kick goes, it doesnt actually go apparently it just levels the whole rev range out if you understand me, so instead of the engine going mad at 5k it goes better throughout the whole rev range

Well thats what i have been telling myself LOL, it just doesnt feel like it! And i just had a play with a 172 and there was nothing in it.

I had a Blast on a Dual Carriageway with Timmay in his Ph2 172 with only a K+N Panel Filter and if anything on that day he had the edge BUT it's just on that day really, 182's don't have much more Torque over a 172 so it only becomes noticable at Top End when the 182 can pull for a bit longer in my experience

Yeh i found the same TBH. Dammit, what with buying a "cup" too ;) lol

Think i need some new mods. Hmmmm inlets next i think.

Thats my plan, Inlets and depending on how saving goes maybe Cam's at the same time, Thinking of Buying the RS Tuner Software to save on constant need for Remaps

You realise breathing mods will make it pick up quicker so you wont notice the kick so much honesttly.

Are you getting RRed with another 182. Youl see a smoother curver I assure you.

i was gonna get RS tuner too but dunno how good it is. Cams make much difference then?

Oh and reckon i should keep the decat? lol

Yeh its the CS RR day so there will be hundreds of 1*2s! :)

Why would a different air filter bring back the 5k kick ?

What have you got done to your car mate ?
