bad missfire and reader showing lam 1 bank 1 but is it coil?

  clio 172
hi all
have a clio 172 which was running fine till today when i put fot down and over 3k it just went dead and no power at all
eml came on and showed lambda sensor 1 bank 1 which i believe is before cat? the important one?
now sometimes if i am in 4th or 5th gear under 3k and i boot it it missfires like mad and no power at all and even slows down. if i knock it down a gear sometimes i can redline it in 3rd. That sounds to me more like a coil plug issue but there are no codes saying a open circuit or anything on any cylinder. Would a knackered lambda really cause that much of a problem with such bad power los. Going up a hill tonight i had to go from 5th to 4th to3rd and luckily just got up the hil. i did smell the stinking cat which made me think yes it is lambda which is now causing cat problems
when i was sat on idle i had a quick look at live data(dont kno jack bout it lol) and one sensor had readings fluctuating up and down on idle and the other one was 0 on both v and %
what should the readings be on the sensors and il do a proper check in morning
thanks for your help

Lambda would make sense. Mixture regulation is only activated until 4.8k rpm. Everything above runs open loop afaik. You could swap the Lambdas and check if this cures the problem! Otherwise the fault would/could be ignition related.

it is reading faulty lambda so il prob replace that anyway but is it true that something like a plug/coil could give the lambda a fault?

the exact error code i think was p0130 lambda sensor 1 bank 1
which to me is self explanatory but its just the fact of how bad it lost power and was missing and hesitating over 3k. but sometimes it would go over 3k up to about 6k fine. which then makes me think not prob gonne be coil as once they are gone they are usually permanant problems. Do you have any info on what the live readings should be on the lam? thats what i believe i need to look at
