Bald Backs

I assume that all clio2s handle pretty much the same (non renalutsport). Does anyone else have trouble keep all 4 wheels on the black stuff when your back tires are older than your fronts???

Braking in this car on bends scares me, im sure the back wheels want their turn at the front!!!

i used to drive a mini and a citroen AX both of which were sh*t, badly build cars, both of which could handle braking on corners, there problem was locking tires and going straight off. the clio just wants to swap ends, this also causes me a fortune in rear wheel bearings.

If your having to brake when going round a corner it usually means you have entered it too fast in the first place!

Approach a little slower and then boot it through! Front wheel drive will pull you through the corner. Even if the corner reall really tightens it will still pull you round without the back moving/stepping out too far. Dont worry about the back it will always follow the front ha ha....

Replacing wheel bearings because of cornering to fast? Do you also do lots of wheels spins?

It takes a hell of a lot to get my 172 to loosen or even break away, neither of which are advisable on open roads as i would have to be driving like a nob(not accusing you of doing so, mate).

How many miles have the rears done

no wheel spins, no with the back wheels anyway, its a front wheel drive car.

I dont drive like a dickhead, i did all 27,000miles last year over the speed limit though, unlike dickheads i know the difference between nearly dying and going fast.

my back tires have done about 10k, and let go on the same roundabout everyday come rain or shine at about 50 mph.

"some people drive cos they have to and i drive for the love, the road is my race track."

thanks for your replys

If youre letting off and braking when in a corner, then are you entirely sure you know the difference between dying and driving fast!?!

Slowing down half way through a corner and then accelerating again is THE way to make your arse go sideways. Ease off before the corner and then throttle it as you turn in...

If you want to drive quickly then you go into corners slow and come out quick ie, the slowest point of the corner is just before turn in. Ask any race driver or for that matter a competant driver! To me it sounds like your inexperienced (regardless of mileage!) and an accident waiting to happen.

I made this mistake of having better tyres on the front than the back and it cost me a car and tought me a lesson about driving. Shame the car was a cup but ive learnt a lot of things since. I knew before not to brake on bends but i also know dont drive on the cars limit on the road as eventually youll come across somthing you didnt expect and mainly excessive speed aint for the road.

I F*CKING MISS MY CLIO!!!
