Are they really worth it?

Been reading lots about them on the internet because I need a decent sound system but then I saw the prices!

Anyone got one and can give me any feedback - Thanks!

Not sure about B&O systems but Ive had a few systems in the past and i tend to choose sytems that have the THX cert with them, my current buy is this:

Jim best advice you can have is to go to a specialist. What part of the country do you live in and I will try and recommend a local specialist for you. A lot of them I will be able to give personal recommendations from as I used to work in the trade so know them.

I live in manchester. I guess what im looking for are speakers to use with my TV and also that i can switch to my laptop.

Is this for music or home cinema?

My father in law just bought himself some new Marantz kit with B&W 700's and it sounds amazing.

As a bonus, he is giving me his old Marantz THX kit with Mordunt Short speakers. A nice little upgrade from the Harmon Kardon set I currently have!

Agree with going to a specialist though. Go an listen to a load and you will soon find the speakers that make the sound you want to hear.
