Bangbangbangbangbang - engine mounts

Well, the mk1 172 has finally started making a loud banging noise under 1st gear acceleration. The mk2 172 always did it, but its only just started on the mk1.

Is this a sign of a broken engine mount? Where can I buy some new ones, how much and how much to fit?

its the bottom "bone" gearbox mount

it needs replacing or looking at.

dont think its hard/expensive- just need a ramp.

Mine wasnt broken - had it tightened up a while ago - the problem has never recurred.

Yerr I replace the DOG BONE mount on my 16v. Took all over 10 mins to do.

Noticed some banging when I was playing in the rain, spinning through first and second...thought it could have been wheel tramp...guess Ill get the mounts looked at during the service
