Base ignition timing

I was wondering if anybody knows the stock ignition timing for the f4r I’m assuming it’s around the 10 degrees btdc
But I’m wondering why it’s not listed and it’s got 8 degrees before btdc stamped into the gearbox ? Or is that just a French joke as per
