Batt Light

Hi lads the batt light on my 172 has come on with the stop light. Does this mean the batt needs charging?

sounds like you have a charging problem,have your alternator tested but dont be fooled into buyin a new one.get some one to disconnect your battery for 5 mins the reconnect it and see if the light goes off(dealers earn loads of cash for these faults).
hope it works.

Check to see if the alternator is charging the battery too.

If not then it could be the time for a new alternator.
