Batteries for Keys

Alright Folks. How much is it for a new battery for my key. Also can you buy them from shops aswell as Renault dealers. Its a 1999 Grande if that matters. Cheers in advance.

Its just a normal battery.

Halfords sell them etc there nothing amazing.

Just remember to change it quick as the remote can forget its settings and so youll be back to Renault to payt a fortune for them to reauthorise the key.

IIRC it takes a 2032 battery but i might be wrong...

Just tried to get the cover off. Its an absolute b**ch and ive cut my finger .

Probably just going to get Reno to do it now before I attack it with power tools .

lol the cover is easy, you just gotta push the right bit.

The key looks like half of one of the sides slides off, where it really is only two pieces.

Take the key off of any key ring it might be on.

Hold the Half of the key that the metal bit is coming out of. Then slide the top half towars the metal bit, should slide off easy enough.
