Hi
My 172 has been sitting around unused for 2 weeks and refuses to crank unless jump started. It would appear to have it's original battery.
I left a cheap battery conditioner plugged in and after an hour it had its fill at 12volts.
This still isn't enough to start the car.
I was wondering whether attaching my older, more powerful charger, to the battery in situ would be ok?
It is rated 4-6 amps - it's quite powerful. But would this damage the Clio ??
I'm reluctant to take the battery out of the car and I only have 1 key.
Advice gladly received.
Cheers
