Battery Life

Not on my clio.....

My father in law replaced the battery on his merc about 4 months ago and then hasn't been driving it at all in the last 3-4 weeks due to work. Now the battery is completely dead and will only start if I jump it. Even left the alarm off so it didn't drain so quickly but it has still died!

Will the battery be completely buggered and not hold it's charge or will a few drives bring it back up to charge?

Ok mate hopefully the battery will continue to hold charge after the long run

try taking it on a long drive, if it keeps dying and not holding a charge then get the battery tested. could either be the battery has had it or the alternators had it, how olds the merc? if its fairly new then its probably the battery
