battery problem

been having troble with the car after draining the battery when i left the lights on all night....it will jump start no problem, but after running for half hour if i turn if off and then try to turn back on its dead.no battery power.charged the battery up all night and stuck it back in this morning.and still no power, so am i right in assuming i need a new battery and not alternator??

try putting it on the battery carger over night after checking the water level,thats if it can be opened

Sounds like you need a new battery Scotte666. I presume it's the cars original battery?

yea its 10 yrs old original vauxhall 1.i thought it was the battery just wanted to double check....

Yeah, it'll be the battery then. Pop on a new one and everything should be fine again.
