Battery relocation kit ?

i 'need' to relocate my battery to my boot...not for posing but for even-ing out the weight distribution in my motor.
i have had a quick browse on the net and there are some kits at silly prices... nothing universal if you like...

So i want to buy all the bits i need instead.

what guage cable?
ideal terminals?
any additional fuse's?
i am planning on plumbing in a battery switch thing too.

Any one done this before any advice or tips worth mentioning?
