Battery warning light

For some unknown reason the battery warning light has come on and is staying on. Is this a new alternator? Hope not! Does anyone know what else it could be?

Sounds like alternator to me.

Or loose/dirty connnection on the battery.

Checked the battery connections mat. Have u got an alternator on one of those breakers?

id pretty much deffo say its the alternator... had this problem quite recently. haynes manual, bonnet off, drivers light out and get the socket set and some spanners out.

Ive just changed mine and last night the light was flickering on and off, can only think on a loose connection bloody car

Alternater for sure. Weve all had one. lol. It usually starts with flickering and then jus stays on. £80+ mate.

Great more expense! How much mat? Socket set at the ready. Must be that as its been flickering at full hammer.

ive got the same prob with my williams, fully charged my battery and tighten the connections up good and tight and its still on! looks like it will be off the road for a couple of weeks again! till i can afford to get a new alternator fitted.

are these prices on this thread supply and fit?

No. £80 to £90 for the alternater. You might get one for less now. I bought mine last year.

also mine didnt flicker at all just came on one time and stayed on
