Battlefield 2 question - please help!

I suspect the answer is a definite no, but is there ANY WAY of switching that bloody announcer's voice off BF2? I've only recently reinstalled it and I'm getting pissed off with some octogenerian Yank saying "press the right mouse button to pull my pud", "press the Tab key for me to tell you something else that you already knew while my monotonous voice drowns out the footsteps of the guy walking up behind you..."

no you just have to put up with him for a while

You just have to put up with it as you cannot turn him off.

However, best thing you can do is sit in ALL vehicles, use all weapons and fixed weapons, once it has told you it wont tell you again (bit like a wife I spose) the more you do it the quicker it will stop.

it is a pain in the arse tho!
