I have the 8900 at the min, im tempted to buy a 9700 outright...

Just a quick one though, my 8900 doesnt have 3G on orange as the handset isnt capable.

If i buy the 9700, and put my sim in it. Will i be able to use 3G etc..?

Well, just spoke to L'Orange... and the f*****s wont give me a 3G sim??!?! Apparently, its like for like replacements only!!! What an F'IN JOKE! Ive got about 12 months left on my conetract to go still too.. piss take!

Get off the crack pipe. They have more 3G coverage than any other provider now they've bought out T-mob.

I can't believe they told you that at Orange about nore replacing the sim. I'd call up again and if no joy ask to be put through to cancelations department who are really the customer retentions team. They have a lot more leeway on what they can do for you and I'm pretty sure sending you out a Sim to keep you happy would be no bother. Very strange.

When I went to cancel my old Orange contract (Original Nokia N95, £35pm unlimited texts 600mins) I ended up with a new 6500 Classic, and the contract for £8.50 a month. Now my dad has that phone! LOL

They haven't bought T-Mob, they are merging with them. Which I might add is going to take at least 2 years!

Vodafone have the fastest 3G in the country, o2 have the worst (especially since they got the iPhone, their bandwidth is getting ravaged). T-Mobile and Orange are just middle of the road. Don't even get me started on 3!!

Well, it was 200 squid to canx my contract, I can sell my 8900 for roughly that...


Whilst browsing in the trafford centre yesterday, i had an impulse buy. Took out a new contract with vodafone, I have to say the coverage is fantastic, the 3G speeds are very very good indeed too. The chap gace me three months free line rental, tarrifs 35 squid a month, 600 mins, unlimited texts and internet.

Just need to call orange now and sell my phone or Mazuma it.

Was going by speeds pal Over the past 3 years I have been with Orange, o2 then Voda - Vodas 3G speeds are immense compared to the other 2

Oh I know that, been using Vodafone 3G stuff since they released the first consumer data cards and the speeds have always been good. In the right area.

Sadley their coverage isn't up there with Orange

I've just got one of these for work, not sure on it yet, it's not making me want to put down the iPhone!

Screen is too small for the web, mail doesn't seen to be as good and the keyboard is tiny.

I'll reserve judgment for a week or so but so far it's no iPhone.

Well I've had it a couple of days now, not managed to use it with bes yet as IT were having issues with it, nut I'll get it tomoorow apparently.

So, my thoughts now, screen is still too small for web access, but I think once you have used something like the iPhone, most screens are too small then.

Battery life, seems good, charged yesterday and after a day of use it's on 55%, but that's without accessing work emails, so will have to report once I am using it properly.

Facebook is dig slow on it, not sure if it's the app but it's painfully slow compared to the iPhone, both on the same network too.

Like the holster and the fact the screen goes on and off as you put the phone in and out.

Seems to have a slightly stronger signal than the iPhone.

Definitely growing to like it more, but I wouldn't take it in place of the iPhone

need to see if bes is going to make me like it more, as exchange on the iPhone is perfect.
