Though it would be interesting to see how each of you owners would write up there cars if they had to review them, magazine stylee. Heres mine

It was a dry autumn afternoon when the dealer threw the keys to the new RENAULTSPORT 172 across the table and said "its all your". Walkin out onto the forecourt and seeing the gleaming blue car sat there begging me a slide in and ruin her. Grinning from ear to ear, I jumped in and started it up. For a reason known only to Reno, there is a delay of about one second after you turn the key and the Sweet 2 litre engine growling into life. As I pull off the forecourt, I get a rush of excitement as I feel the sporty suspension and engine asking me to open it up but as the dealer advised, give it a few hundred miles before you start giving it stick. A few weeks and 650 miles later, and im about ready to explore above the fabled 4000RPM magic line ive so nearly been past in the last few weeks, as I come off a small round about in second gear and put my foot down and let her go. "Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh" seems to be emanating from my mouth as i struggle to hold on to the steering wheel as I make the jump to hyperspeed and the street lights become a series of blurred images going past my window, I just manage to catch the gear change before I hit the limiter and shift up in to third. Between 4 and the limiter of about 7500RPM in every gear, the 172 feels like it kicks you in the stomach and smashes your senses into a bleeding pulp as each time you hit the magic line you simply have to swear and hold on as what seems like a shot of nitrous launches you into the distance. Every time you get in the car, the smell of leather and the sporty stance makes you want to drive like a car thief, throw it into bends at high speed and see how far you can push the little French slut. Consumption for a fairly large engined sports car is suprisingly good, averaging 38mpg with some heavy footed driving seeing it drop to a bulimic 25-30ish mpg. In short, for the money its the dirty little weekend feeling with a good looking, loose model. Exciting and rewarding!

Apparently I am Jeremy Clarkeson :-(

I dont think so...

Anyway... Review (In a Jeremy Clarkeson Style too)

RenaultSport Cup... Yes back on track, Like a proud warrior I strode into the Local renault dealership and summoned the sales chap...

"I would like that one..." pointing at the RenaultSport 172 Cup

The salesman made a rhy smile and said "really..."

"I would like that one..." I said again stabbing my finnger into his head whilst still pointing at the cup. Neandolithic sales people always seem to enrage me to the same extent that the F-word does (Ford) to sensible car owners.

The Cup (why name a car after a piece of ceramic) it should be called the RenaultSport Clio 172 LOUT or HOOLIGAN with a 0-60 of 6.5 seconds. It handles like the body of a supermodel sliding into bed with you... Looks like the supermodel who is in bed with you and the ride... well it is the best ride of your life!

Power on tap, the point and click attitude of the Cup makes it one of the most enjoyable small hot hatches on the market as well as being one of the cheapest. It punches well above its weight, and with RSport Modifications never going to be available, you would be foolish not to replace them yourself. Seats - Uncomfortable, Power - more available, Handling not much wrong with it. Economy 40 MPG!!! yes 40 MPG in a sports car...

Great Car, Great Price and yes she was fantastic.

On my Cup...

Let me tell you something about Renault, theyre French, common, and well known for building some of the greatest hot-hatches that have graced our roads. Day after day we see them being driven by grannys, learners and mums going shopping. This however is all about to change... something is stirring in Dieppe, something that will change the very definition of the term HOT HATCH .... the Renault Sport Clio Cup 172!!

"Hey Bobby, whats French for Va Va Voom", immortalised thanks to Tierry Henry in the Clio 172 advert, the Cups porky relation... Who cares whats French for Va Va Voom! What matters is that this car has so much more than other hot hatches on the market. This is a true back-to-basics out and out tarmac terrorist. Honda, VW - you better watch out cos the new kids on the block!

From the moment you switch the engine on, you can straight away its a born racer. The lack of sound proofing means as you raise the pace the howl of the engine echos through the car, and extracting every glimpse of performance is such a joy to behold. Id describe this car as wolfe in sheeps clothing. Passers by may think, its only a clio, but to the true enthusiast the Clio Cup 172 is nothing short of a modern-day road legal rally car.

u all seem too forget if conclusion in Top Gear studio, and during the review.

After driving it for a few miles, this part of the car started falling off! this started rattling, and these heater controls..... well speak for themselves!
