Been offered this...

He mentioned £500 my way, rekons he was offered 9.5k for his a few weeks ago and turned it down, which he regrets now. I'd probably take 9k for mine. I don't really want the A6 but I think it might be easier to sell than mine.

The A6 has buck rogers miles on it though.

You will struggle to get a good price for it just on that basis

I personally wouldn't do that swap - your car has sensible miles on it - come the srping (if you can wait that long) I'd imagine your car would sell better being a convertible.

I've made someone a really low offer on a VX220, and with a bit of gentle persuasion he's agreed to it!

Dont do it mate!

Off Topic but nice one :D

Sorry - got that in just because I had a little chat about the A4 Cab and that I was looking for something a little less civilised....think a bright yellow vx with black wheels and a stage 1 remap should do that lol!

oh lol, gl...

Anymore opinions on this swap? I thought I was getting a good deal from what Ive seen after searching for similar cars to his, and mine, for sale. I know the mileage is high but for a car like that with full history, and obviously m'way miles, it shouldn't really matter too much in this price range (with av miles this car is booked at over £12k), I've driven a couple of VW Golf's with another 50k on top of what his has done, and they drove like new.

I think though a lot of people would see the mileage and write it off without any further thought - I know my parents and a lot of their friends would.

I've no doubt it will have plenty of life in it, but a lot of folks would assume it wouldn't.

definately not, that sort of mileage on a 3 year old car would put me right off (i know the engine can handle it)

will have so much trouble trying to sell it on again

steer clear mate, can you not hold out a few months untill the weather picks up?

Do not be put off by the milage mate !! Vag's are well know that there only 'worn in' at 100k ;) But like said before you wpuld get a lot better price come summer time !! also why would he want the A4 cab if he has just got another A6 ??

If you wanted the A6 to keep for a few years then I could possibly see the swap, but if it is to sell on, then I can't see the attraction.

The attraction for was me thinking it would be easier to sell, and they do seem to be priced higher than A4 cabs atm, but judging by this thread I was wrong, thanks for all the opinions btw, its appreciated.

He emailed me this morning asking if I'm interested in a PX, I'm assuming he means cash his way, but after looking around his is a bit overpriced. I was also confused about the 5 door thing.
