...by getting it back from the bodyshop.

Had a run in with a deer a few weeks ago, and got it back last night. Bodywork is now immaculate, and probably much better than it was before.

But it feels so crap to drive. It's probably always been like this but I've never noticed, and this is coming from driving a nissan f**king micra as a courtesy car for two weeks lol.

It feels so slow and unresponsive, I appriciate it's no sports car but christ it feels boring. It's strange how I feel this as I've been driving clios since I passed two years ago.

Time to sell up next month I think:dapprove:

Enough of the oh deers. I don't think the OP wants to go down that road again. ;)

Lol thats a new one!

I was actually after a 172 next when I turn 20 (in Feb), but really can't justify the insurance - living in a s**t postcode FTL:dapprove:

So kind of had my heart set on a 1.6 dynamique, but after this morning I'm not too sure. Want something fun but insurance friendly at the same time. Suggestions, £3-4K?

Maybe it's time to move away from clios - it will be my fourth one next lol.

  Shed.
Been driving MK2 PH2's for over 2 and a half years. It gets slower everytime i drive it.

Nearly bought a 182 yesterday but still dont wanna land myself in the s**t because of finance.

Im on My Second. Really after a honda but im waiting untill the big 21 which will give me time to save a few blades of grass in the mean time.

How about working out what itl cost you for a 172, its not exactly a killer for me on insurance but it aint cheap. And the 1.6 aint exactly slow !!!

pmsl.

OP get yourself a proper clio then. Non of this silly shopping trolly 1.2 nonsense.

Did you read my post above on insurance? For me to insure a 1*2, I'd be looking at over 2k, something I'm not willing to pay - plus if I did pay that, you'd be one of the first people to come back saying I'm stupid for paying that;)

Zetec S is a good shout, joined up to their owners club not so long ago to find out a little bit more about them.

Was also looking at mx5's, but the majority of the look very tatty and worn now, cheers though:)

  polo, here for lols

Is a Saxo VTS/106 Gti to expensive to insure? Quicker then the 1.6 Clio, and for 3k you could get a low mileage '03 plate Vts I think.

I had one and it was very reliable, and parts were so cheap for it anyway. Much fun to be had as everyone underestimates them, and they aren't far off a 172/182 from my personal experience, having had a Vts followed by a 182.

Saxo VTR (if you can find a good one) is fun and affordable. VTS if you can stretch or 106 GTi might be a shout. All good to drive and cheap to maintain, provided they are not heaps to start with.

It's good to hear someone with a grain of sense, not willing to part with 2K for insurance on a Clio!

surely shinfield isnt that bad

You'd think that mate but it's all down to the first part of the postcode. Arborfield is still RG2 too.

Cheers guys, some good suggestions here, keep them coming:D
