Other companies may not accept it, but if you renew with Bell they will give you the NCB discount.

so if you gained a years no claims discount with bell (who im with) it's worthless to any other company?

I think thats why its so cheap cause they know that alot of other insurance companies wont accept it.

Know this, if you take a 10 month bonus accelerator and no where else accepts it your 10 month policy will then count as one year following a further 2 months withought claim, they seem to forget to tell you that

could you write to them and assk them to write out a 12 month NCB certificate then? doesnt really matter with me as im staying with them due to them being alot cheaper than anywhere else. but if a do change in a few years i might come out with no No claims bonus.

I doubt it mate, but my first year with my C2 GT i was nearly 1400 i then went to get some quotes and 9/15 of the companies said id either have to wait 2 months for a year to lapse or start a fresh, there are no shortcut with insurance companies. There more crooked than the people that drive without insurance tbh!

ok. im still confused. lol

You start a policy with bell on the accelarator, if you do the 10 months without claiming then either Bell, Admiral and Elephant whom are all part of the same company, EUI LTD

(you will notice all 3 of there websites are nion the same)

All 3 of these companies will accept the 10 months as "a years no claims" as it were, very few other companies will do this.

However say you do three 10 month spells with admiral elephant and Bell and get "3 years no claims" To other companies this will only really reflect as 2 years and 6 months no claims, where as you would have to wait a further 6 months to actually officialy receive 3 years no claims.

Its confusing but insurance companies wouldnt have it any other way!

You get a proper years no claims on the 10 month policy, ive never heard any different.

You get a proof of no claims discount, stating how many years you have, which you can then use when you renew with other companies...

think the problem comes if they ask if you've been on an excelerator policy, but like you say the no claims proof doesnt say 10 month NCB on it,

I always thought that the 10 month accelerator NCB counted as a year with all other companies aswell. It's pretty pants if it doesn't.

I finished a 10 month acceleraror policy with Bell in August, they issued a 1 yr ncb certificate, I'm now insured through a-plan who accepted the ncb no bother.

  a burnt one
I was with Bell with my old car and switched to adrian flux for the golf, Flux phoned them for proof of my NCB and there wasnt any problem.

I was also on the 10 month thingymajiigerythingwy.
