best 40mm lowering springs

hi, im after lowering my 182 after putting my new 2118's on it looks like it needs lowering and im looking for 40mm, ive heard the apex 40mm are shite so i was after some advice on some good ones. thanks

True if you a few hundred quid for ish ones or the best part of a grand for decent ones

dont meen to be stupid but how do i get to your thread? (im not very good at navigating this site) ive had coilovers on plenty of cars before and have had nothing but bad experiences so i was just gona give springs a try. i have eibachs on now and they handle well without any trouble but just dont give the drop im after. cheers

Just go into the media section mate. My thread is clean bean on cooksport springs. Coilovers are good, well decent ones are but come at a cost.

has nobody found another company with a good set of 40mm springs. evry 1 says stay away from apex but has any1 found springs with 40mm drop that are any good? i was tempted to just go for the apex but ther is so much bad feedback thers no chance.

What about the cooksport ones? The drop really suits my car, def lower than sportlines too

If you do find some 40mm springs make sure they are progressivley wound (helps keep the comfort of the ride).

Apex and some other makes are linear wound which causes your front teeth to drop out!! Have a look at Gmax and spax i think they do 40mm progressive springs..

yeh your car looks good on those springs but im after it abit lower, my speedlines are only 15" so thers quite a gap between the tyre and arch so im after springs to take it lower. thanks for the advice on the proggressive spring, il ring a few companys tomorrow. cheers for every1s help

There doesn't appear to be a decent set of 40mm springs. Thats probably one of the reasons why most people go with the Sportlines.

ive found some progressive 40mm springs and ordered them today from a motorsport company, god knows what they will b like but worth a try. cheers for all your help. il let u no my opinion of them when ther fitted for all the other people looking for a 40mm drop. thanks
