  172 cup
I have had a quick look through but couldnt see anything,

So what do people think is the best airfilter, either replacement panel filter or induction kit for a 172 cup?

  1.8 Civic EX
ITG Panel filter seems to be the most common for people on here...unless you want some noise

I had one...can honestly say it felt no different what so ever lol

Ur right, I cant honestly see how you would notice any difference tbh.

I had an ITG panel in my 172 and also have in the Megane.

Don't like induction kits, plus they just stuck in hot air if not enclosed.

Pipercross are very good filters too.

I dont like induction kits either. I had a bmc on my car and it felt awful so got rid of it after a week!!!
Renault spent an awful lot of money and develpoment time on that airbox.
I think its ok myself unless u want jenveys like i did :)

  A4 oil burner !!!
Tried a few over the years, piperx open, k&n open, viper and now got oe airbox with ITG panel filter and bigger cold air feeds to box with CAF going to wheel arch where acoustic valve was. Still gives a bit of induction roar but nothing too chavvy ! Current set up wins hands down IMO

so do i just take out all the orignal caf including the acoustic valves in the arch and run larger feeds? has anyone used the ktec panel filter as was looking to buy one of them

In answer to your question. Im running/using the ktec panel filter. Absolutley fine. Sounds a little throatier at higher rpms, and since remap runs alot better. My old paper filter was way past it though :p

Ktec look very similar to the piperx filter.
