Best Brake Pads to use

  '03 Modified 1.2 16v
As Title which is the best (longest wearing aswell) front pads for an 03 clio 1.2 16v. As you can see doesnt have to be immense stopping power.

Just sick of Renault's pads wearing quickly. Thought of green stuff but are these ok to use on the standard discs??

Link any sites you may recommend aswell

You might find that 'best' and 'longest wearing' will be mutually exclusive!

If you haven't already, do a search for something like 'brakes' or 'pads' as there's been loooooads of threads recently on them! :)

I use standard pads - £12.50 ex VAT for fronts from GSF.. lovely. :)
They might wear quicker (not sure if they do.. ) but I can replace them so cheaply! ;)

Halfords sell the standoard ones for £17 or so or cheaper ones for £15.
I've never had any trouble with the £17 ever.
They last a fair amount of time how much milage are you getting out of them?

id use some Ferodo Premier pads if you want somethin cheap that will last pretty well

Joshydee they don't understand them obviously you want the same pads as the 5GTT 1.8 16V Mk1 and Williams use.
Ferodo premier part number FDB845 is the ones I use there fine never any trouble or fade.
Just remember to bleed the brakes with some good fluid as that makes a big difference.

last pads were from Renault got them Sept 05, done bout 7000 miles and there down to the metal!
You've either got faulty brakes or you know why your brakes have gone.
I go through a set ever 15k or so but thats seriously hard miles track days etc but a long drive to work. If I drove it to the limit on the back roads to work every day I could get through a set ever 7k. But then again I'd go through tyres ever 7k or so as well.
Unless your going though tyres as hard as brakes I'd say the brakes are faulty maybe sticking calipers etc.
